Snow Day

Stayed home from work today. We got pounded by another 18 inches of snow here in North NJ. The news has stated thay Newark has had the most snow ever recorded in a January. Online Poker Update

I am back to my winning ways. Have won at Rush Poker a few days straight; also have been beating the Cash Razz games at Stars for the last few days. It seems that I do badly on weekends and good during the week. Think I will go back to my old ways, playing Mtts on the weekends and cash games during the week. I have the most success at tighter calmer cash games, the kind that go during the week. That no-foldem holdem usually ends badly for me. On the Bonus clearing front I am a third of the way to clearing my Full Tilt bonus. This means I have some serious grinding to do from now until Feb. 15th, hate leaving uncleared bonus on the table. Another Razz cash in the books for me. This one was bitter sweet being I should have closed the deal. Heads up I had a 28K to 1K chip lead and couldn't win it. He won almost every showdown hand. I may have to reavaluate my heads up play. I was winning 6 of every 8 pots but they were all small ones. Early Year Update

So far it’s been a pretty uneventful year for me. At least I am starting to have small wins online every night in the cash games. The year is young but I have had no success in MTTs at all yet. Did manage a really bad bubble in a Razz MTT on Sunday morning. I was 2nd in chips when 4 handed, playing 3 places and ended up bubbling. What can you do when you start with A-2-4-3 in Razz and then catch an 8 on 5th? I bet the river, unimproved and got called by a 7! This took most of my chips and I got knocked out shortly afterwards. Played in a few No Limit MTTs also this weekend but couldn’t really get much going. Finished around 50 from the money in a 20K on Poker Stars. If I don’t start the year off strong probably won’t pursue a Tournament Leader Board Cash, like last year. BTW I didn’t end up strong, at one point I had the 10,000 best score for the year but ended up a little better than 50,000th. (Not even close to a cash but now I have set the bar, so this year I want to at least improve on last year’s finish.) Haven’t played any Sit-N-Gos yet this year and may keep it that way for awhile. They have gotten so frustrating for me. Maybe this weekend I will copy my Blogger Brothers and post a list of goals for the year. Thanks for reading and good luck at the tables. Tony

Not a Happy New Year

So far it's not a happy new year for me, results wise. As for life things are going well so I can't complain. Online Poker has been real bad so far this year. It's a new year today! I have tallied up my results from last year and they are all positive, cash games, Sit-N-Gos, and MTTs. The profit is less than in years past but still a profit.
